Saldaean

The Borderland country that lays to the farthest west on the coast of the
Aryth Ocean and just north of Arad Doman is Saldaea. The Saldaean are
typified by tilted eyes and bold noses. They are a fierce people, the
women even more so than the men. The history of the country includes
three wars, two rebellions, and numerous feuds and unions between noble
houses. One of the rebellions was rumored to be quelled when the reigning
queen danced the sa sara, a forbidden decadent dance, for the victorious
general. The general then married the queen, restored her to her position
on her throne. Althought this rumor has been denied by every Saldaean
queen to sit upon the throne. The symbol of Saldaea is three silver fish
on a field of blue. The sa sara is a dance that has been outlawed due to
its provocative nature and the effects it has on men. This law has yet to
be effectively enforced.
